Insights from our HR Community

In a recent poll conducted within our HR Group, we delved into the pressing issue of why 27% of employees globally are expected to leave their jobs by 2025 if their workplace fails to align with their values. With 355 members participating, our survey shed light on the key factors driving this anticipated turnover.

Among the respondents, a staggering 86% highlighted work-life balance as the primary reason employees might seek new opportunities. This sentiment underscores the growing importance of creating workplaces that support employees in balancing their professional responsibilities with their personal lives.

However, our discussion didn’t end there. Participants also identified several other significant factors contributing to employee dissatisfaction and potential turnover. These include the need for an encouraging and supportive work environment, the presence of effective leadership, flexibility in work arrangements, competitive pay, and various other considerations.

Several thought-provoking comments emerged from our community, enriching our understanding of the multifaceted nature of the issue. For instance, some members emphasized the concept of work-life integration rather than balance, highlighting the need for workplaces to acknowledge the interconnectedness of work and personal life.

Others emphasized the importance of supportive cultures, particularly for working caregivers, and the critical role of compassionate leadership in fostering employee well-being and satisfaction. Additionally, the ability for employees to determine whether they work remotely based on their life needs emerged as a key consideration, prompting discussions about remote work policies and flexibility.
